1The Petronas Twin Towers
It would be a shame to visit Paris without making time to visit its various landmarks—the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower, to name a few. The same goes for Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Twin Towers, as it would simply be dreadful to visit the city without taking the effort to gaze upon the 88-storey towers of chrome and steel.
The architecture is Islamic-inspired and the buildings are home to the Petronas Company corporate headquarters and offices, among others. The building was the world’s tallest at some point in recent years, with a height of 452 meters. While the BurjKhalifa in Dubai has that claim to fame now, the Petronas Towers remain the tallest twin structure in the world.
